Fatimah Haroon was born in Karachi, raised in London and now resides with her family in Islamabad; but travels all around the Globe for work and to explore diversity and different cultures
At the age of 15, Fatimah began to show interest in Photography and began encapsulating photographs that got the attention of newspapers, Digital magazines, weddings, startups, and companies to get their photography done by Fatimah. People praised her artistic, modern with a (cinematic or vintage touch) way of capturing moments.
Due to the hype, by next year Fatimah had established own photography enterprise by the name of ‘Fatography, - a one-stop shop for high-quality photography services and took off on a ride to fame as she was one of the youngest and very few female photographers at the time in the country. At 17, during her A-levels she was also invited to judge several media competitions as well as to deliver lectures at some of the leading secondary schools and universities in Pakistan, such as National University Science and Technology (NUST) and the Ghulam Ishaq Khan institute (GIK), Beaconhouse on topics ranging from General Photography to specifically Modern Cinema. At such a young age she had the privilege of seeing her work published and appreciated in many of Pakistan’s leading news publications.
In her teens in Pakistan, Fatimah assisted many renowned Pakistani television Directors during the making of their drama serials & shot some of the Pakistan’s Media industry’s top names. After completing her A levels she moved to London for College Birkbeck University, UCL to continue her studies in other subjects she was passionate about which include Psychology, International Relations, and Media. Fatimah’s practical experience in this field actually inspired her undergraduate Bachelors in Film & Television from Central Saint Martins at University of the Arts London which is ranked 2nd top Arts University in the World.
Fatimah’s undergraduate degree had inspired and reinforced her desire to broaden her professional horizons in the film industry. During her bachelors she was particularly responsible for Direction as well as Production to look out for practical management of the entire camera crew. Fatimah found the challenge of juggling my academic work alongside free-lance filming work, both exciting and professionally inspiring. At the same time directing and managing an entire camera crew enhanced her ability to effectively delegate and execute tasks, whilst honing her teams’ working skills.
Taking theory-based as well as practical classes in Film-making has provided me with skills that cultivate an in-depth knowledge of media, structures and processes within their various artistic, historical, socio-economic frameworks. Fatimah became so observant of the digitalization, media, journalism, marketing online, e-commerce etc that her interest began towards Marketing. Straight after her Bachelors, she moved to Birmingham to complete her Masters of Arts in Film from Birmingham City University. During her post grad in Birmingham, she continued to remotely work for Joanna Lipper a renowned Hollywood Director in her company Vertumnus Production

Over the years, Fatimah’s ability to use initiative and creativity to create impactful direct, digital and print ads and marketing campaigns has led me to work on several international projects with renowned companies and organizations such as Samsung, Vertumnus Productions UK, IDEAS, Inifinix, Limelight UK, HELLO Pakistan, and Kew Media, engaging global audiences from South Asia to United Kingdom to United States. Specially during her Masters she was granted the facility to get weekly placements around International Film, Marketing and Distribution companies such as Pathe, Lionsgate, Sony Entertainment, Dolby, Èentertainment, Pinewood, Cinelab, Lionsgate, Vue Cinemas & many more to learn and understand the history alongside how with time, trends are changing drastically with Cinematography, Direction, Cameras, Productions, PR, Sound Designing in cinemas and distribution of films. Fatimah experienced and learnt a wide variety of skills of thinking out of the box to strategies, conceptualizing, story building and creating trending content in different mediums required to succeed in being noticed globally
Today, Fatography is known for its exceptional aesthetic value in analyzing the frames of shots, experimentation with light and color symbolism to accentuate. To date Fatography has globally amassed ninety thousand+ followers on Facebook alone alongside a team of seven for productions. Fatography expanded the business using social media tools, in particular, using Instagram and Facebook to win over 100+ projects, grow her following and broaden my services to include content creation of most kinds of media involving Production, Direction, Photography, Cinematography, Editing, Public Relations, Managing Celebrities and so much more. She believes running her own independent business from such a young age, Fatography served as a steep learning curve that accelerated the development of Fatimah’s critical thinking as well as entrepreneurial skills at the same time.
To highlight, I have also worked as a Public Relations Implementation Manager in Cannes Film Festival for renowned celebrities such as Deepika Padukone (43+million), Sonam Kapoor (24+ million), Arnold Schwarzenegger (19+ million) and Ashwariya Rai Bachchan (8+ million)
Currently, Fatimah travels around the globe for Shoots and Productions. Fatimah Haroon is well established in Pakistan and is known to be one of the favorite photographers, PR Manager and Film Maker due to the level of comfort and at ease she keeps the person in front of the camera.
